In 2023, Nogales CBC recorded 171 species, which was the 29th highest count in the US and the following 9 species had the highest totals of any count: Dusky Flycatcher, Chihuahuan Raven, Black-capped Gnatcatcher, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Rufous-winged Sparrow, Blue Grosbeak, Lazuli Bunting, Cassin's Vireo and Elegant Trogon.
